Description
Government surplus item. Truck was driven around our yard and appears to function as required but overall operating condition is unknown. NOTE: tires and wheels are foam filled and for off-road use only - NOT suitable for highway use. 2006 Western Star Tandem Axle Roll-Off Container Truck with 12.7L Detroit Diesel Series 60 engine – Eaton Fuller 9-speed +LO manual transmission – 106183 kms – 12484 hours on meter. Front axle rated 20000 lbs.; rear axles rated 46000 lbs. Langfab hydraulic roll-off system with joy-stick style cab controls and secondary frame mounted controls. Tires are foam filled and have lots of visible damage – replacement recommended. Glass appears to be in good condition – passenger window does not operate fully. Interior is stained and dirty. Various marks; scratches; rust and small dents on exterior – doors may require repairs as cracks visible where mirrors mount. Roll-off system appears to function and operate as required using either controls – NOT tested under load. All vehicle options were NOT fully tested and some are untested. Item may have outstanding recalls and buyer should ensure they have all necessary permits and licensing to own/operate vehicle. Vehicle has been declared as having previous cumulative damage over $2000. ABS light on dash stays illuminated after vehicle has been running. Expect item to require maintenance; repairs or certification prior to use. See images and YouTube video for more information. Inspection highly recommended prior to placing bids. Buyer required to show transfer of ownership prior to removal – NO exceptions.
