We put a charger on the batteries and then connected a booster battery and that Cummins fired right up! There is an air leak inside the dash so it only built about 50psi but I did push the drive and reverse buttons and the transmission shifted into gear!
Government surplus item. Registration has a “normal” designation and vehicle is declared as having “previous cumulative damage over $2000” and requires repairs. 2009 Crane Carrier Company single axle chassis with a Labrie Environmental 4-compartment side-load recycling dump body. Dash and guages have been removed but the decommissioning report indicates 98833 kms with 8877 engine hours. Vehicle was last serviced October 5 2021 and decommissioned October 13 2021. Engine is a Cummins ISC240 8.3L 6-cylinder diesel with push-button automatic transmission. Tires appear to be in good condition. Glass appears to be in good condition. Some visible rust; marks; scratches and small dents on exterior – recycling body dented on rear. Small holes are visible in interior from equipment removal – some wires may have been cut. Batteries are dead and no attempt was made to start the unit. All vehicle options were NOT fully tested and some are untested. Item may have outstanding recalls and buyer should ensure they have all necessary permits and licensing to operate vehicle. Vehicle has been declared as having previous cumulative damage over $2000. Expect item to require maintenance; repairs or certification prior to use. See images and YouTube video for more information. Inspection highly recommended prior to placing bids. Buyer required to show transfer of ownership prior to removal – NO exceptions.
